Randolf Rotermund & Timo Häckel from HAW Hamburg presented two full and one demo paper at virtual VNC 2020. The virtual conference was well-organized with virtual hangouts in gather.town and video sessions in zoom. The full papers can be found in our publications. The video of the presentations can be found below or in our media section.

The first paper “Requirements Analysis and Performance Evaluation of SDN Controllers for Automotive Use Cases” was presented by Randolf Rotermund and discusses requirements for SDN controllers in in-vehicle networks and evaluates existing controller implementations regarding those requirements.

The second paper “Strategies for Integrating Controls Flows in Software-Defined In-Vehicle Networks and Their Impact on Network Security” was presented by Timo Häckel and discusses advantages of different embedding strategies to integrate control communication into software-defined Ether-networks.

Our demo paper and video “Demo: A Security Infrastructure for Vehicular Information Using SDN, Intrusion Detection, and a Defense Center in the Cloud” presented the SecVI prototype vehicle, and it’s security infrastructure.
